your questions. answered.
How long does an art party last?
Parties run from 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the project and age of group. We art first and leave time for cake/presents at the end. Want it to be longer? We're flexible, just shoot us an email and we will do our best to work it out.
What should I wear? Is your paint washable?
Be prepared to get messy. Most materials we use are washable but let's just say you won't see us wearing our best threads while getting creative. Get fancy at your own risk.
Is my kiddo old enough? Better yet, am I too old for this?
Is your child at least 4 years old? Are you at least 4 years old? If answered yes, you're the perfect age for an art party at Oil & Clay Studio.
Ages start at 4 years old, but that doesn't mean little brother, sister or cousin can't participate. We just ask that they are assisted by a parent or guardian and included in the headcount.
How early should we arrive?
No more than 10 minutes before party time, please!
How many people can attend the party?
The minimum party cost includes up to 10 guests for kid parties and 5 for adult parties. This number includes the birthday kid/honored guest. Want to invite more? There is an additional charge per person, listed on our children and adult party pages.
Can we bring food + drinks?
Yum! We love both. Can I have a bite?
What not to bring?
We trust you. Until we don't. You know, don't bring your pet snake. But really, please don't, Louisa hates snakes. On that note, don't bring bananas either. Nora can't stand the smell. Or taste.
How do I pay? Can I pay early?
For every party we require a $100 deposit. Deposit payment information will be provided in the confirmation email once you fill out a party request form. For the remaining payment, you can pay early or the day of. We accept all major credit cards, cash, venmo and checks made out to Oil & Clay.
Is it customary to tip?
Yes! We appreciate being appreciated.
What if I have to cancel my party?
We know life happens. Deposits are fully refundable up to 2 weeks before the party.
